Alison Lohman Latest News, Picture and Biography



Alison Lohman also known as Alison Marion Lohman is a successful American actress. She was born in September 1979 in Palm Springs California. She has played roles and starred in various movies and films such as the White Oleander in 2002.

Early Life.
As a teenager she took part in a musical, The Sound of Music, where she won the Most Outstanding Actress in a musical. At 17, she appeared in twelve different major and successful productions. She was also a background singer. After a few years she was an awardee for the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts and she was offered a chance to attend Tisch School of the Arts but she declined the offer.

Career.
In 1997, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. She took part in several movies a science fiction and a children’s film. Lohman starred in the movie White Oleander which was a box office hit. The movie gave her a breakthrough in her acting career. In the following year, she appeared in Matchstick Men and Big Fish which were unsuccessful. She was praised for her acting but the movies were not a break through.

In the year 2005, Lohman played a role in the film Where the Truth Lies. The movie received a NC-17 rating for its graphic sexual content but it was not successful. She later took part in The Big White film where she was featured alongside Robin Williams and Holly Hunter. At the age of twenty five in 2006, Alison Lohman played a role in the film Flicka. This movie was successful in the DVD market. Afterwards she was featured as a recovering heroin addict in the film Things We Lost in the Fire.

Lohman later took part in a horror film Drag Me to Hell which was released in 2009.

Personal Life.
Alison Lohman was married to a filmmaker Mark Neveldine in 2009 and they have two children together.
