Aya Cash Latest News, Picture and Biography


AyaCash is an American stage, television, and film actress. She is the daughter to Kim Addonizio, a popular poet and novelist, and Eugene cash, a Buddhist teacher. She is also the granddaughter of Pauline Betz Addie, a former Wimbledon champion and sports writer.

Early Life

Aya was born on the 13th of July, 1982 in San Francisco, California. When she was young, people thought she set to become a great writer. She was published for the first time when she was only three years old. She is also known to have won several awards in poetry in her childhood, which she attributes to novelty as opposed to immense talent.
Aya is an alumnus of the San Francisco School of Arts. She also has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of Minnesota’s Guthrie Theatre BFA acting Program.

Her Acting Career

After she graduated from college, Aya moved to New York City, where she planned to start her acting career. Her official acting career begun in earnest in 2006 with her TV debut in 'Law & Order and Law and Order: Criminal Intent’. In 2008, she debuted in her first movie in the indie film, which was known as 'Off Jackson Avenue’. She had also appeared in several movies, including 'Begin Again’, 'The Oranges’, 'The Happy House’ and 'Sleep Walk with Me’. In 2013, she played a Minor role in the acclaimed film known as 'The Wolf of Wall Street’.
From 2014, Aya got a role in the FXX network series 'You are the worst’. Her Performance in this series while acting as Gretchen Cutler made her get a critical acclaim.

Her Achievements and Latest News

Her performance in the second series of 'You are the worst’ made her acting capability to be recognized as the 'best TV performance of 2015’ by the A.V. Club website. Aya’s role in this series is still ongoing and it is destined to be her most appreciated and celebrated role in her acting career on TV so far.

In 2013, Aya was named among the 'Backstage 30’ actors about to 'break out’ in Backstage.
The again in 2014, she was named by Indiwire.com as one of the '10 Comical Actresses Who Deserve a Big -Screen Leading Role.

In Theatre, Aya has also won several Off-Broadway credits, such as the one she won in the 2014 Zoe Kazan play 'Truly and Max in love’, where she was a leading actress.
